saya agak sibuk dalam sebulan dua ni.
Ada kawan kita di utara Tanah Air, telah menempah sebuah heli UAV untuk kegunaan beliau.
Specifikasi,
1. Kyoso ZG gasoline heli with 800mm main blade
2. Zenoah 26cc heli engine
3. Futaba BlS servos all around
4. Futaba 14MZ controller
5. Futaba GV-1 Headspeed governer
6. Futaba GY401 gyro
7. DJI Waypoint System
8. Ground Station
1. very precise one position hover without any pilot input.
2. 1 stick input under altitude hold mode for any position change.
3. Able to fly to and from any position in the GPS grid coordinates.
4. Able to hold either in hover position or fly home position in case loss of TX signal.
5. Able to be controlled using SIM controller using datalink transfer protocol with life update on position, altitude, attitude and heading.
6. Camera pod can be control by main controller or separate controller, can be panned and vertical rotation.
refer video dibawah ini selepas saya rig dan trim heli ini to perfection. Tanpa bantuan stabilizers, heli ini mampu untuk hover setempat selama 5 saat tanpa sebarang input daripada tx.

kelihatan didalam video itu adalah tuan punya UAV ini yang sedang membuat flight yang kelima selepas ianya dilaraskan.
Berapa MTOW ( max take off weight ) heli ni? Saya agak dalam 8-10kg kot. Anyhow, kalu below 20 kg masih OK untuk operate below 400 feet , ada insurance and not flying near aerodrome should be OK. Bole refer AIC (Aeronautical Information Circular (AIC) by Malaysia DCA no 04/2008. Ada satu lagi law by JUPEM, tapi dah ketinggalan zaman sebab sekarang pakai google semua bule tgk dah. but it still a law.
Saya minat gak nak tgk benda ni. In my past I dah fly Yamaha Rmax , Schiebel Camcopter, Draganfly X6, sekarang ni dah kurang flying.. more to marketing jer

MTOW less than 9kg without payload. Yup true on that stipulated law.
Anyway this UAV require more time before it can be fully operational.... working towards that currently.... Further video on the capability of this machine will shared here. And hopefully some professional video equipment will be housed on it, the outcome also will be shared.
The problems is, by changing the overall weight of it(by adding payload), further system rigging required... mmm...
Keep it up bro, Yeah there's a lot of tweaking job to be done there and here. A heli beats the air into submission, it does not wanna fly. Power to weight ratio is critical . Hope you could resolve the porblem and start flying..
